The new year being a time for reminiscing and general regret we thought we’d join you in the immense pain and self-hatred you must all be feeling right now by sharing some Loci memories. As promised the video diary of the Loci Hate You tour will be emerging in all its sinister glory soon to give you a disturbing look behind the scenes at the technicolour depravity but in advance we’ve sifted through the Loci vaults to bring you some videos of varying age and doom. Two new/old videos will be uploaded every week to keep you warm during this season of sadness!

November Giggery

Rehearsal of new material for the upcoming EP scheduled for release in 2008 is underway, but you cannot hear it yet - no, no… not even if you pull those puppy dog eyes, you forget, we hate puppies!! you are powerless…

Behind the stage footage of the Loci Hate You Tour is being filtered as we speak and will be produced in some highly digestible format shortly. In the meantime Loci continue to aggrivate the locals with a series of gigs this very November including two capital cities… but which ones?

Behold! a Loci blog, an orientation if you will! We'll ease you in so as not to disturb you too greatly too soon... the really disturbingness-ery (TM) is yet to come!

Biography:
Loci wield music writhing with energy and intent. Aggressive alternative rock offset by dreamy shoegazing; a sound that ambushes the listener with both brute force and siren-like seduction. This is music with edge, with dark intelligence and a sarcastic smile.

A “sense of menace”, BBC Wales suggest, is what sets Loci apart, and indeed a Loci performance is anything but predictable. Eighty shows of frenzied acrobatics, bruises, crushed instruments and applause. Unpredictable? Yes, but what you can expect is to leave with a grin!

A band true to the real ethos of indie and alternative, Loci’s self recorded and produced Filtered to Function EP is a visceral slice of their fierce, brutal and honest sound. “One of the rawest sounding bands to tear out of your stereos in a long while” UK Music Search.

Loci have received airplay from both mainstream and student radio, from BBC Bristol to Swansea’s the Wave dedicating a 15 minute segment solely to the band – as DJ Johnny B reinforced “This is music to care about!”
